Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Minster, or the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln and sometimes St Mary's Cathedral, in Lincoln, England, is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Lincoln. Construction commenced in 1072 and continued in several phases throughout the medieval period. Like many of the medieval cathedrals of England it was built in the Gothic style.
It was the tallest building in the world for 238 years (1311–1548), and the first building to hold that title after the Great Pyramid of Giza.

As a general rule I never quite know what I am going to photograph and often it is the "shot in passing" that produces the most pleasing results. I have to confess to being as hooked on the post-shot processing techniques as I am on framing the original picture and probably spend far too much time digitally processing photographs. Once in a while I like to include a humorous image just to mix things up a bit and hopefully make people, if not laugh out loud, at least smile. Please note that the FAA watermark does not appear on purchased images.
